Dr Azm Ahmed:

Dr Azm Ahmed is the Clinical Lead at Writtle Dental Practice. He is an experienced and exceptional dentist with over 16 years in general practice, graduating from the Royal London Hospital. As well as being a general dentist, his cosmetic skills extend to a range of treatments including smile makeovers.
If you can’t find Dr Ahmed listening to his 80’s music in surgery, he will probably be around the practice exercising his DIY skills, being the only man in the practice he has pulled the short straw!
When not at work, his love of cars shines through! He can spend a whole day polishing his car then likes to relax with his feet up watching a good film, that’s if his children give him the chance!
Principal Dentist
Dr Samira Ahmed:

Dr Samira Ahmed has been a dentist for over 15 years graduating from Birmingham University. She has experience of both NHS and private practice and is Writtle Dental Practice’s facial aesthetics advisor. As she is the only dentist in Writtle providing anti-line and anti-wrinkle injections, she sure knows how to make us all feel good and look years younger!
Samira provides general dentistry and is exceptional at treating children as she has a calm and kind approach. She works at the practice Mondays and Wednesdays and provides facial aesthetics on these days and Saturdays. The rest of the week she helps manage the practice and likes to keep us all in check!
When she finally gets a minute to herself she enjoys interior design and spending time with her family. She loves to bake and cook and has been described as the Mary Berry of Indian cuisine!
Associate Dentist
Dr Jasmin Guliani:

Jasmin is the fitness fanatic of the practice. This sporty dentist will bowl you over with her professionalism! Having graduated from Kings College London, Jasmin has continued to keep up to date with new and innovative techniques in dentistry.
This football loving lady likes to build up trusting relationships with her patients. She has a warm and friendly demeanour and many other great skills and attributes to provide her patients with the very best care.
Dental Nurse
Mrs Joanna Maunder
GDC NO: 126330 NEBDSA 1998
Joanna qualified as a Dental Care Professional in 1997 and has worked at our practice for 8 years. She has brought with her a wealth of knowledge and her nursing skills are exceptional. Her ability to put patients young and old at ease is obvious and her caring personality is a great asset.
Joanna is married with 2 children and is a very family orientated person.
When she chooses, Joanna can be very strong willed, always saying NO to our occasional naughty sweet treats! Her homemade salads always amaze the staff!
Joanna loves socialising with her friends and enjoys a night out especially if it involves wearing a new dress!

Mrs Dorinda Plush:

Dorinda is a very experienced member of the team and has been working at our practice on and off since it opened 29 years ago, she certainly knows the place and people well! Her caring, friendly and warm manner is second to none and her ability to put patients at ease is outstanding. Dorinda is also our chief cake maker which can certainly come in handy from time to time!
Receptionist/Nurse
Mrs Helen Dennis:

Helen is the longest serving staff member of our practice, having been part of the team for over 23 years. She qualified as a Dental Care Professional in 1995 and now spends most her time on reception to welcome you to the practice with a warm and calming smile. She has a very professional manner and is a highly valued member of the team.
Helen is married with 2 children and enjoys walking her beloved dog. She takes her leisure time very seriously, enjoying spa weekends and shopping expeditions and is always on the lookout for a new designer handbag which adds to her vast collection!
